Day 22 of #PSLoveMe Something that makes me unique

I said the other day in a scope for PeriGirls that something that makes me unique is my positive attitude. I truly think that this makes a difference when people are around you. I mentioned my smile as well and how that has helped me in the working world. I was hired as a hostess at a restaurant because of my smile and friendly persona and I know that it has helped me with the customer service aspect of my direct sales businesses as well as teaching.

Day 15 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge...share something you've done right

I wasn't sure what I wanted to share for today, but I decided to say that something I've done right is start live streaming on the Periscope app and joining groups of people that are also on Periscope. It has been an amazing six months on Periscope and getting to know other scopers and live streamers. I look forward to where this will take me. :-)

Day 14 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge Share a fear you have overcome...

The fear I have overcome is video marketing and live streaming. At first, I was reluctant to start making videos for YouTube and later live streaming on Periscope. Now, it is a piece of cake for me to come on and live stream or film a YouTube video and I'm not nervous anymore. Making videos has become a daily activity and I am truly enjoying it and I hope that my viewers are enjoying it as well.

Day 13 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge Share a Quote

“But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.”--Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City)

I felt this quote would be a great one to share for today as it speaks to the self love aspect of the challenge. I think it is so important to realize that you need to love yourself and take care of yourself. Then, if you can find someone that loves you for you and doesn't want you to change then that is how it is supposed to be as the writers of the television show Sex and the City wrote in the quote above. The quote is the final line of the television series finale.

Day 12 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge Share a flaw...

On Day 12 we were asked to share a flaw and I shared that sometimes I focus too much on physical imperfections. Even though beauty really does come from the inside, sometimes we can focus on the physical imperfections and feel like we are not beautiful.

Day 11 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge Share a smile

Here is the smile I shared for Day 11 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge....

Day 10 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge Share a secret...

The secret I shared is not really a secret to you if you are reading my blog and following me on social media, but many of my personal friends and family do not know that I blog and make videos via Periscope and for YouTube. You can follow me on Periscope @amandabeautytip.

Day 9 of the #PSLoveMe Challenge...Share something beautiful

This picture was taken at the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, North Carolina in the Outer Banks. A beautiful September day. :-)

Day 8 #PSLoveMe Share a Scar

You cannot really see it in the picture, but I circled it even though it isn't clear. Under my lower lip there is a scar from when I was a baby and fell and needed stitches. You can't really see it in person either unless you are right up in my face. lol.

Day 7 of #PSLoveMe One Thing I do for myself

One thing that I do for myself is my direct sales businesses. I love these companies and I am at the point that I do not want to give them up and let them fall to the wayside. I see a lot of potential with what I'm doing with my home businesses and I would not trade what I have learned over the last several years for anything.

#PSLoveMe Day 6: A letter to my future self

For day six of the #PSLoveMe challenge we were asked to write a letter to our future selves. In the video I mentioned to remember that everything happens for a reason and that hopefully I learned from any struggles that are yet to come and that I am hopefully where I am meant to be in life. I also reflected on an old journal entry that I found that I wrote when I was younger looking forward to the future. I also mentioned enjoying the small moments in life. :-)

Day 5 of #PSLoveMe Challenge: A letter to my past self

In the Periscope broadcast, I mentioned I would tell my past self not to worry about what other people say. I was mostly referring to my middle school self and the bullying that I went through in middle school. Now that it is over ten years later, I can look back and see that those bullies were wrong. I don't know where those bullies are now, but the truth is that most bullies have their own issues with self esteem and that's why they are bullies so I hope those women are in better places now where they don't feel like they need to take down the self esteem of others to make themselves feel better.

Dear past self,

Don't worry about what others say. Those bullies are wrong. You are beautiful and you will turn out to be a wonderful young woman. You will reach your goal of being a teacher and making a difference in the lives of the future generation. You will go through struggles, but you will make it through them and come out better in the end. At age 26, you are in a pretty good place and life is pretty good. The bullies are no longer in your life and you are surrounded by friends and loved ones that respect you.

-Amanda, Age 26

Day 4 of #PSLoveMe A person that loves me

Rather than take the approach that most others did and share a picture of someone that loves me, I decided to talk briefly on Periscope about being grateful for my loved ones. I don't know what I'd do without my family, boyfriend, and friends. They have been there through the good and the tough times. I am so thankful that each and every one of them are in my life. Even though I didn't mention them in my scope, I am thankful for my deceased grandparents as well because they helped me to be who I am today just as much as the grandparent that is still living and my parents.

Day 3 #PSLoveMe A word that describes me

For today, the word I picked was patient. While I don't always feel I am patient, others always say that I am. I think being a teacher and working with kids you have to have some patience or you would not ever have a chance at being successful. In the periscope I did I mentioned how it is important to have patience when students and children in general are not listening as well as when you have struggling students that you just want to succeed. I guess I do have patience currently working with two year olds. :-)

Day 2 of #PSLoveMe Challenge: Share a photo of you

Here is a photo of me from October 2015. I chose this photo because I was wearing my "I believe" necklace and that is one of my favorite necklaces because it is so important to believe that everything will work out in the end and believe in yourself which is part of what the #PSLoveMe challenge is about. :-)

Why I'm Doing the #PSLoveMe Challenge by Pepper Ferguson

The #PSLoveMe Challenge was created by Pepper Ferguson. You can find her on Facebook as Pepper Scraps and on Twitter and Periscope as @unicornbeauty. I love the idea of this challenge. It is all about loving yourself in the month of February. Each day we have a different challenge related to loving yourself. The first topic was to explain why you are doing the challenge. I am doing the challenge for a few main reasons. It seemed like something fun to do! For a long time I did not love myself as I do now. February is all about the love.
